The game crashes to a tiny "Fatal Error!" window. I've done all the troubleshooting possible, it's just borked for me unfortunately.

The only problems with this game are the ones that Marmalade hasn't patched on any platform.

It hangs sometimes, forcing you to leave, but that's pretty normal for this game, even on Windows.
This game is pretty janky no matter what platform you use. Oh, and the username will be wrong for a few hours.

There's a minor lag when the game saves, and this sometimes points your cursor straight up into the sky.
For the sake of your steam cloud, turn off cloud sync for this game. The saves are enormous.
