playable, but do not expect to play it on super high settings or anything if you want high fps

changed resolution to 1152x720 in GameUserSettings.ini
do not expect super readable text. but you can improve subtitle readability in accessibility settings
I absolutely do recommend using proton GE to prevent massive stuttering. and just play without ambient occlusion and screen space refelctions combined with low-medium settings if you want to aim for 50-ish fps. you can go for higher settings if you aim for 40 fps
I also play on 1128x720 to ever so slightly improve the fps without sacrificing too much resolution with FSR enabled in quick settings (resolution edited in the GameUserSettings.ini in: /home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/397540/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/Borderlands 3/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/)
GPU clock locked to 1300mhz and cpu TDP set to 14 watts if I remember correctly
enabled the right touchpad to do left mouse click upon being pressed
if the game had been booted up before on a different device with higher res. the same high res will be used to start the game. change the resulution back to 800p on the different device before playing.
I am running the game in DX12. and so far its running fine and I am 5 chapters in. launching the game will take a teensy bit before showing anything (about 1 to 2 min of steam loading screen thingy thing), have patience. it will boot!
I do recommend changing the control scheme a bit. the official one is good but lacks certain fine controls in my opinion.
don't forget to change the resolution back to 1280x800 if you have played this on a desktop/laptop/whatever with higher res. Else it would cause the game to boot up in same high res without scaling down.
at first launch it will tell you that it will test the systems performance. you can only close this window when you are in desktop mode
nothing has depth in it by default. all models will try to be in front of another.
will perform terribly in gaming mode. do not play in gaming mode
I super duper extremely recommend to play with mouse and keyboard. remember: play ONLY in desktop mode to prevent massive performance issues
in order to fix the weird rendering issue, you need to open the console in the menu with the tilde key (~) and insert these two commands (no quotes): "gap_iDepthBits=24" and then: "applyVideoMode()" after entering these two commands the game should function completely normally (thanks Architector #4 for sharing ths fix with us)
runs fine, you'll enjoy it! but you have to guess the buttons if you don't read the layout though lmao
tdp to 7 watts, gpu clock to 600 or 700mhz, 60hz with 30fps cap. running the game with mixed settings on 1128x720
just read through the controls that is predefined in the control settings in steam. or else you'll be in for a surprise.
