No problems! It works 10/10
From what I've seen the only Proton version that works is 5.0-6. I haven't tested the other versions.
Just play the native linux version (at least on ubuntu 18.04)
With windowed I had significantly lowered FPS
Terrible to run this on proton without native support. I was docked at least 15 fps.
Had to Press "Wait" a couple of times so my Computer wouldn't close the game (not responding), but as far as I know this has the same problem on the native linux version.
I get 1 frame per minute
-console -untrusted -graphics-low +violence_hblood 0 -fullscreen -nojoy -w 720 -high +mat_disable_fancy_blending 1 + cl_forcepreload 1 -disable_d3d9ex -novid
I can barely go in to change my settings in the menu it took me the whole hour of my class to change all the graphics settings from Auto: High to Very Low and even then I'm getting 1 frame per 30 seconds
Won't Even Launch
Doesn't work at all with a clean install on Proton Experimental
The Controls are terrible, but you can map them to your liking if you feel like it.
I was docked about 25 fps then on my windows 10 pc with lower specs. :(
I was able to preform first time setup and EasyAntiCheat and then I was sent to the launcher and it closed using Proton 4.11-13.
proton 5.0-6 did not work at all.
Didn't work using ANY of the Proton Settings, or Steam Linux Runtime!
4.2-9 Not Tested
Not bad just don't play with the music
I'm on a chromebook guys
This game has a steam version it's awesome just get it if you love old battlefield games.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
It was great. Worked completely fine.
Make sure to use the launch option provided if you can't get it to launch!
Couldn't Run at all with any Proton Version...
Using Crossover (wine) I was able to load into the menu but wasn't able to play because of not being connected to steam error.
