game would crash at random intervals taking my machine down, requiring a forced shutdown. crashed a total of 3 times, but I was still able to complete the game.
The crashes ocurrs on both Sway (Wayland) and i3 (X server)
it mostly works. not sure why the crashes occur but if you can handle random computer crashes you should be fine.
The game is very dark, as if the game was set in night time. I saw gameplay that is in daylight. I've also asked players in my lobby about the brightness, and they confirmed that it was daylight for them.
I had to use PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% as the launch option to run.
There are no issues running this on proton. I am playing on beta, but I'd be surprised if a breaking change made it to release.
It's a fun game to check out! At the time of writing, the online multiplayer only supports up to 3 players, as the game crashes on 4+.
If you mute the game from the in-game sliders, there will still be a shot sound on any gunshot that hits an enemy
In one place, the textures may blink when walking up and down the screen.
At proton versions > 5.0-10, the game does not render the screen correctly.
At lower versions, important text does not render on the screen, leaving out important plot details.
Please play this game, it is amazing.
It works as if it was built natively.
This report used Sway as the window manager. I set the game window to be floating to test out windowed/fullscreen mode.
Switching between windowed and fullscreen worked as expected except for one case. If you're in windowed mode and you attempt to move the window by clicking+dragging, the window and your mouse will automatically move to the bottom of the screen. In order to move the window around, you will HAVE to use keyboard shortcuts to move the window a few pixels at a time.
