Apart from some performance problems and mapping the up/left/down/right keys, the game is perfectly playable in singleplayer.
Remapped the Up/Down/Left/Right keys to the back grip buttons
Performance is poor on higher graphics settings.
When loading the game up or going back to the main menu from the campaign/zombies, the game will hiccup for 5-10 seconds.
Unable to move through the main menu without mapping the up/left/down/right keys.
Make sure to tune down the graphics settings in order to make the larger maps playable, otherwise performance will drop and GPU usage will be maximized.
Zombies works perfectly fine, just make sure to use Proton-GE, otherwise the game will crash on startup.
Turning down the graphics settings will improve battery life.
The regular Proton version does not work with Black Ops III, use Proton-GE and you're good to go. Controls works great, game runs well and no problems with audio or input lag.
Excellent game on the Deck, runs great, standard controls need a little change, no bugs and great battery life.
Might be worth to change to a community layout to make switching between systems and actions faster. My save game can be exchanged via Steam Cloud between the Deck and desktop PC, so if you want to continue a save game on your desktop after coming home from school or whatever, you can do this.

Some small text here and there but overall a very enjoyable experience with the official layout.
