Had to switch Proton version to 4.11-13, tried other Proton versions through Steam and even Proton-GE latest. Also, I have a NVIDIA RTX 3050 ti with my laptop.
Offline and Online modes both work under Proton 5.0.7 Fedora 32
One thing that was annoying was the video options would not change regardless if you pressed apply while in game. But after a restart of the game it applied the video settings.
Okay so I had a lot of trouble setting this game up. I don't want to label it borked since it is working fine now.
Messed around with Pronton 9, Proton Experiemental, and GE-Proton9-21. They would all exhibit the same issue after 5 or so minutes the game would freeze and lock up. I realized that my setup is a hybrid laptop. What fixed it, was changing from a "hybrid" setup to only use the NVIDIA gpu (Performance Mode). Something was mixed up with the AMD graphics on-demand mode. I don't know why exactly since i'm not too tech literate.
