Tinker Steps:Custom Proton: GE-Proton9-10

Using the default proton version the game was a bit "jumpy", installing the latest GE proton fixed it
Instability:Occasionally
Crashed before getting into the actual game before installing CryoUtils (default config) and changing UMA to 4GB
This game doesn't work without tinkering. In its current version you'll need CryoUtils just to get it to run. I used GE proton to improve the graphical performance. I get about 30+ FPS and it's totally playable.
