Crashes before tinkering, any in-game menu would crash and if attempted to enter space station the game would freeze.
Errors reported on secondary library, reinstalled proton on steam default, changed from amdvlk to vulkan-radeon. After that everything worked perfectly and game ran extremely well on 2560x1440p considering Ivy Bridge i5-3570 cpu.
