I had same problem as other, all versions of Proton failed(it worked year ago on other copy of Linux Mint), I almost gave up, then decided to move gamefiles from NTFS drive, to system drive, worked with first Proton version that I tried. TRY TO MOVE GAMEFILES TO SYSTEM DRIVE.
