I had ER running perfectly on Proton 8.0.3, the update late last week has caused an issue that prevents ER either loading at all or it gets stuck at a black screen with a cursor.

Using GE 8-16 I can get to the "Click Any Button" screen, once clicking any button the game crashes out.

Have tried the latest Proton versions, experimental Proton, older GE and I have no luck. Either the PC freezes completely or nothing happens.
Only GE 8-16 can get me into the game menu. But that's as far is it goes.
