This is what I do, previous download https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install and uncompress it. Change my username with yours and Proton version with yours and enjoy:
fran@ManjaroLinux:$ export WINEPREFIX="/home/fran/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/compatdata/683320/pfx"
fran@ManjaroLinux:$ export PROTON="/home/fran/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Proton 4.2"
fran@ManjaroLinux:$ cd tmp/A/mf-install-master/
(base) fran@ManjaroLinux:/tmp/A/mf-install-master$ ./mf-install.sh -proton
Wait for copy and register DLLs.

Funciona muy bien y sin problemas. SI tienes conectado un mando de XBox 360, cpnfogúralo antes Big Picture, si no lo has hecho ya.
