Gameguard now tolerates wine as long as the windows version is set to windows vista via winecfg.
gamemoderun %command%
after install on steam, run 'protontricks --gui' and select: 'Uncharted Waters Online - Steam: 890400' -> 'Select the default wineprefix' -> 'Run winecfg' and then change 'Windows Version' from 'Windows 10' to 'Windows Vista', or the game will crash a few seconds after starting in the title screen.
Yes i feel they would if this is the syle of gaming they like to play. Which is a sanbox rpg mmo 18th century pirate or sailors type game
Runs just fine no issues that i have noticed as of yet
The latest version of proton does not let you play the game it gives errors
If you like this type of game then you will enjoy it on the Steam Deck asuming you have a hot spot to play it on the go.
Once you use version 5.13-6 it fully loads into the game but once you get to the point of entering your character name it will present complications.. the keyboard once done makes it so you can progress with the enter command button on the screen without some tinkering of gaming controls and forcing it to re-register the game controls and make the button clickable again. You do this by basicly reloading the gamepad/keyboard setup you have chosen for playing the game under the game controller settings and going from linked to a tv mode to the on console screen and back some how makes it work and get past this once done game fully loads works and has no issues from what ive seen so far. Note simply have a key bluetoooth device might avoid the whole on screen keyboard and button not worlking issues but i cant say for sure untill later with me having tested it out.
I dropped mouse sensetivity to 35 as 60 or higher is way to much and anything less is to slow
I drop battery voltage to about 3-6 and GPU speed to 1200, with force half swadow active with little to no issues so far and more battery life.
At a point during name character creation the next commnd button to confirm it stops responding if you use on screen keyboard to type name and forces a frustrating time to get it to re-reconize your controller and be able to mouse click the button needed move on and be able to play the game.

Once you get the game past character creation i have not seen or experienced any glitches, or issues playing. The game is fully playable if the keyboard/controller complication is fixed at the point when making a characters name to play the game.
As long as you use proton 5.13-6 and either a bluetooth keyboard or do some tinkering with the gamepad/keyboard setting while the game is loaded do to a glitch during the naming character creation. It will fully load and play without issues.

Failed to initialize GameMon
Launcher works fine. When I click "Launch Game", the gameguard splash appears and the game window opens, but no frames are drawn and an error pops up saying: "Failed to initialize GameMon. Try rebooting or closing possible programs that can cause a collision. (00000072)". When I press "Ok", a second window appears saying "A fatal error has occurred. Failed to run. Restart Windows and try again (0000000f)". When I press ok on that window, a GameGuard error report prompt appears. The game then exits completely when this window is closed.
GameGuard's GameMon is failing to load which blocks the game itself from starting up.

Installation works but the GameMon DRM fails to start
Proton 3.16-9 is needed for installation

Launcher works, but when it tries to update, it closes with no errors.
