Running directly through steam with no changes results in rainbow cutscenes and skybox problems.
Proton-7.0rc6-GE-1 GloriousEggroll

Some skybox textures are actually videos files that won't display properly without the correct codec.
You can play through the game, but the skybox is really annoying. But from what I have seen it's completely playable and finishable.
Skybox was white. Changing to Proton GE-6-2 didn't help either.
Playable, but not a great experience owing to many significant issues.
Skybox is missing it's texture, always shows as untextured white. Tried falling back to wined3d/d3d11/d3d10/d3d9 and without esync but all had the same issue. Restarting a chapter or fully dying in the game causes a black screen requiring the user to restart the game.
Attempting to go into fullscreen causes the game to fail and revert to windowed. If using multiple monitors, game will attempt to launch covering multiple monitors and need to be changed in the settings initially, but settings will persist, so it's a one-time issue. Attempting to alt-tab or clicking off the game and back will cause keyboard input to no longer work and requires the user to restart the game to continue.
Attempted playing using an official PS4 controller, the game stutters momentarily and appears to detect something, but input from the controller doesn't work. Input sometimes feels clunky or delayed, but reviews on Windows also mention this issue, so possibly an issue with the game itself.
Game fails to launch sometimes and requires re-launching. Reading text messages on the phone in game doesn't always mark them as read which makes them hard to follow plot wise as you don't know when new plot content is available. This doesn't appear to be an issue on Windows.
The game is completable but there are a few caveats:
Alt-tabbing causes the game to not recognize input anymore after bringing it back in front until a restart of the game. I had a crash near the end of the game (Something something virtual call error message) but after restarting and redoing it from the last checkpoint I was able to finish it. Sadly there seems to be a problem with the fmv (?) effects in the short intro/outro video and the skyboxes which just stay blank. It's not gamebreaking and I didn't even notice during my playthrough that the skyboxes where broken, but looking at some video footage afterwards, it did look very bleak in comparison.
I was also not able to get a ps3 controller to work including different setups with Steams builtin controller support and xboxdrv. In the end I just mapped the controller inputs to keys which worked fine.
There were no problems with performance.
