If no Env variable is set, the game crashes at the Gameloft logo. If however, the "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%" variable is used then the game proceeds further onto the loading screen, but at that point it crashes with the dialog saying something to the effect of being unable to connect to the servers. So, until that changes, the game will remain "Borked".
