Forcing Proton fixes the mouse issue. Although this is unnecessary as the mouse is not needed to play the game

Can be played with Keyboard Only
Mouse button input does nothing
Thanks to the fact that the mouse is not required even in the menus, you can play it perfectly on native. The mouse not working is an inconvenience though
Game runs great, but you need to change the "official" layout to play this game. I recommend d-pad > arrow keys, a > space, x > keyboard x
In game text is white with thin letters, and displays over the in game scene, which typically has lots of white in it, making the text difficult to read (doesn't seem like a steam deck exclusive problem though)
Light sources such as from the sun in the background would always bleed into the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen, past the "play area".
I was not able to activate the Auto-walk function depsite changing the controller layout. Also, all the prompts in game are for keyboard; there are no prompts for gamepad whatsoever.
The menu for selecting artifacts or stories to view seems completely unresponsive on deck. I had to map a grip button to ESC in order to leave the menus. I tried d-pad, mouse, touchscreen, emulated keypresses, and none of them seemed to select items to view or advance the menu. This problem is not present in the start menu however, where the gamepad input works fine.
The native Linux build is broken, at least on my setup. The mouse does not work so in game menus can't be used. The Windows version works perfectly using Proton.
