Launcher runs, but the game itself either fails to launch or closes immediately after launching.

Tried every Proton version going back to 4.2.
All versions both with and without installing dotnet40 via protontricks.
Tried a dxvk.conf in the install directory with 'd3d9.deferSurfaceCreation = True' since that is often needed for Atelier games (from the same dev).
Tried a couple versions with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1, just trying random things at this point.

Nothing works, best I managed was seeing the Koei Tecmo logo for a half-second before the game closed.

I wish i can play this game normally like other anime title that i've tried on Linux.

White screen issued prevent me for playing

The game itselft suddenly force close as you start the game, i can past through by installing MC NET 4.0 (method is down below). Everything seems fine until new game intro, i finished intro but after that white screen appear. I've tried using several custom ge too, but still no luck :(

(Any help would be appreciate)

Now this works thanks protontricks. Follow the instructions:

Launch the game once, the game will open the launcher, but wont launch
Install protontricks from: https://github.com/Sirmentio/protontricks, make sure to install the dependencies including winetricks
Open the terminal and type "protontricks 527280 dotnet40" without quotes
Install DotNet40 as it was windows
Just wait until it finishes and ignore all the warning and error stuff messages from the terminal
Launch the game and the launcher will now open the game
Enjoy

BTW the game runs flawlessly with no bugs or slowdowns
