Some people said that it worked out of the box on Linux, but that wasn't the case for me. I tried a lot of stuff:
- Proton Hotfix, Experimental, version 9
- Tried to force proton to not use Vulkan: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
- Use gamemoderun: gamemoderun %command%
Nothing worked. The game would not start without the wine option. Every time I tried to run it, it would freeze, and when I pressed Alt+Tab, it would start working (I could hear the audio). As soon as I switched back to it, it would freeze again.
it works great
Seems to be working quite well on my machine!
gamemoderun %command%
There seems to be a memory leak
Runs as expected
Good.
I use Dx11, as vulkan has heavy artifacting.
Windows savegames were not transferred
I only tried the DirectX11 version.
In-game videos do not work
The native version has a lot of artifacts in the image (Both Vulkan and OpenGL). With Proton 6.3-5 almost everything works OOB. Only the videos (for example in the skill menu, or in the background of the main menu) do not work.
