used hotfix in compatibility
If you bought the game a while ago you may have the "Native" version which doesn't actually exist. Set it to force a specific Steam Play compatibility tool - I used default version once this was enabled.

The VFX High
setting caused major slowdown during gameplay, averaging at around 20fps but going as low as 10fps. Changing the setting to VFX Medium
fixed the issue completely and resulted in a stable 60fps.
Gameplay on Video settings set to "High" is very slow, change to "Medium" in the options menu
Fullscreen/Windowed option bugged. Also no way to change to 800p
Finally works as of April 24th 2022 if you force the experimental Proton branch.
Works great!
This game used to have a native linux build as a beta, but since Steam doesn't really have any way to specify a game as only supporting a platform as beta, the developer pulled the linux builds. You may need to force the use of Proton in the title properties depending on when you purchased the game.
Proton works like a charm though. Just a note - this game is remarkably demanding by default, even on windows. If you experience a ton of lag on low end machines, lower the vfx settings.

Everything works flawlessly with no apparent glitches, including Workshop levels.
