Less than expected performance on my GPU for such a simple looking game
Native build is an old alpha release with less than half the game. Used to crash frequently when forcing proton but did not have a single crash in Proton 8.0-2
I tried it a few months ago with a few proton versions but it never worked and always crashed and with Force Use Proton Experimental it runs perfectly fine without any crashes
everything is fine, but just crash in 5-15 minutes during game-play.
FPS is around 48 with VSync 60 and game is not smooth.
crash in 10-15 minutes during gameplay.
protontricks 308060 --gui --force
- Specifically select a proton version in the game properties (Newest one) so it does not run the native version, which does not work
- Run the protontricks command specified and choose the option 'Select the default wineprefix', then 'Install a Windows DLL or component'. Tick 'vcrun2019' and press Ok and follow the installation instructions
- The options menu for Protontricks will show up again, this time select 'Run winecfg' and in the window that opens select "Windows 10" ans then "OK".
- Exit out of the options menu.
Place your bets... When will it crash?
First time playing lasted 2 minutes. Second time playing lasted 8 minutes.
When starting the game native and with Steam play compatibility mode the config window is shown and when hitting OK the game starts at the menu screen immediately. In that screen, as soon as you hit a key the game crashes to the desktop.
Using Proton gives a normal game start-up (showing the Square Enix screen, Unity screen etc.) and ends up in the start menu where you can use the menu (new game/continue/settings/etc). But when the game has started you won't know how long you can play, because of the sudden crashes
To prevent crashes I have installed vcrun2019 (for mfc140u.dll), also change winver to win10.

Freeze / crash after 5/10 minutes in game (not in menu)
Freeze or exit abruptly after 5/10 minutes in game, not in menus
Linux version is alpha of the game, but Proton version crashes
Wrong input on Linux version
Crashes on Proton 5.0.9 version
The Linux native version runs well, however, it appears that is is not the final version. The Windows version is much different. It runs well, but frequent crashes spoil the fun.
occasional crashes and a bug that does not allow to continue the game in a particular chapter
in one screen i had to 'use' a laser to light a cell which opens a heavy door. with my config the action of 'use' does not turn the laser, i think it's a bug

with proton 3.7-8 characters are invisible, but the head. with 16-4 and 16-6 it is normal, but with all proton version it crashes a lot

Native Linux version is years behind the windows one. Now steam can run the Proton version so I was able to try. The game looks okay EXCEPT the protagonist is 80% invisible. It is technically playable but hard to enjoy.

Worked with DualShock4 controller. This is a Unity 3D that should have a Linux port.
