to launch and avoid the F1 or con center crash, use 1680x1050x32 in Direct3d HAL graphics option menu instead of 1920x1080x32 (pick a resolution one aspect size lower) mouse is living its own life, set sensitivity to very low and it will work properly, but slow mouse.
