Fairly stable even at TDP limited to 3 watts (5-6 hr battery)
When launching youll be prompted with a classic windows style launcher. Set your resolution here and if you're on steam deck change the input method to xbox 360 controller.
I havent noticed any mismatch between on screen buttons and the controller.
As this is a ps2 era game all text ive seen so far is blown up and perfectly readable.
The only oddity about this game's performance I could find is that it's locked to 30 fps.
Funny story, I actually emailed the developers years back when i didn't know too much about game engines and all that. Asked the guys over at rebellion if they'd somehow patch the game to run on windows 7, and they did reply and it was nice of them to do so but they said that they wouldn't be supporting it anymore. BUT they had re-released it on steam which was awesome to see, bought it and it just worked! The joy of proton.
Runs OOB using the latest Proton version of Steam. Didn't need to do anything besides launching the game and playing.
The game is old, and the control scheme of it is also old. So mouse is unused and the controls might be catchy to learn, but that doesn't fit in any problem related to performance or stability on Linux Systems.
