I was initialy stuck on landing sequence (after cinematics) However i solved it when i entered /unstuck command in the chat window.
Game works and plays as expected. However i played Demo as i was testing it. Some performance degradation is felt but not too diferent from windows. Great work from steam and proton developement.
The experience for me was just, unplayable, and considering the price, I am certain that no one would ever find this experience pleasant.
While it was not hard to read on my 1080p monitor, when I tried lowering the resolution to 720p, the resolution of the steamdeck, to get more than just around 10 frames per second, it was for me impossible to read on a screan even bigger than the original one.
I do not know why this happens, though I am not shocked, everywhere I look it strictly does not launch but for me, it does. Now I understand I am using the Demo version but for everything I know it just uses another server, and whenever I tried using another proton version that the recommended, for better performance, I had to completely delete the wine prefix.
Weirdly enough, the multiplayer seemed to work fine, I didn't seem to notice lag, just bad performance.
While I do still believe the game can be great, I am not willing to pay for an entire month just to be able to try running the full game, considering it does not run at all through Lutris.
Personally, I think this is pretty sad, I am not an expert in game development, nor than I am a computer genius, but I am certain that I ran much more graphical intensive games in the past with absolutely no issue, which leaves only the CPU that could lack.
I have read that it runs fine on GeForce Now, and considering the game's needs for an internet connection, it makes sense people would try this option, but if you have to add €10.99 to the price of the game to play comfortably, I wouldn't call that comfortable.
