The Steam Deck built in controls don't work fortunately i have a keyboard and mouse and Xbox Series X Contoller to play with.
Steam just needs to get the Steam Deck controllers to be conpatible with the game.

Opened the game and it just ran, i'm as shocked as you are.

Changed the language on japanese on configuration steam to avoid any more of the current crashes that have been doing the rounds on the internet
black silhouettes in character selection, crashes as the tutorial is launched, etc
You have to wait for a patch soon. It should arrive by the end of next week

Runs perfectly, none of the issues people on windows seem to be having, online works.

On SteamDeck, with default Proton (or even bleeding-edge Experimental Proton), at the initial title screen it says "Press Any Button" but pressing any button does nothing, so you cannot progress to the game's main menu. Note that the controller is recognized, because pressing "Y" brings up the exit dialog.
Works well out of the box.

SDL_VIDEODRIVER='wayland,x11,windows' MANGOHUD_CONFIG="fps_limit=120,no_display" mangohud gamemoderun %command%
Played through the tutorial, two story chapters and a match against the cpu without crashes or bugs. The game seems to be locked to 60fps though, the Unlimited setting isn't working for me but i suspect the feature isn't implemented yet rather than it being a bug, maybe it gets patched later (?).

The game runs perfectly. Gameplay has Ultrawide support, cinematics and story mode are locked at 16:9.
SDL_VIDEODRIVER='wayland,x11,windows' MANGOHUD_CONFIG="fps_limit=120,no_display" mangohud gamemoderun %command%
It seems the game is locked to 60fps no matter what your fps cap settings are, the Unlimited option seems to not work, should be patched later (?). Otherwise absolutely no issues, played through the tutorial, the first two chapters and a match against cpu with no crashes and no noticeable bugs.

Seems to run just fine.
I installed, launched, and started playing without any issues at all.
I did not try the multiplayer yet, so I don't know the status of that.

Runs perfect with GE-Proton and no additional tinkering. Cinematics play, gets past the title screen, gameplay is smooth and fluid.
Without GE-Proton the game launches, intro cinematics don't play (you can click past them) You reach the initial setup screen where you can adjust game settings etc. Then you're stuck at the title screen at "press any key" but pressing keys or buttons don't advance past the title screen. But you can press Escape to exit the game.
