Turn on Vsync or the game will have massive flickering!
Launcher's "Install PhysX" mode and Settings window require Desktop Mode, Setting will not work on anything except default recommended Proton!
Massive global flickering when vsync is off (which is the default)
When in Gaming Mode, don't interact with the launcher except for the Play button, and the two language buttons. For everything else, Desktop Mode is required. No older Protons needed, but some messing around to get the Settings working may be required. Alternately, just turn on vsync manually in the INI and bypass the fuss, as that is the only setting really needing changing.
Game runs well and is light on the battery. Can set display resolution to 1080p for visual boost.
Need to install redistributable to launch
Need to start the game with Proton 6.3.8 to install PhysX runtime, then restart system. Can switch to other Proton versions afterwards.
beat the game almost entirely on steam deck. Used touch pad to launch the game after the launcher appeared and was good to go.
Minus some reoccuring crashes in the Nether Azazel fight, the game runs and plays nicely out of the box.
During one fight attempt against Nether Azazel, the game briefly zoomed into his feet and all ingame audio cut out until I restarted the game.
I recall Amaros' skin flashing pink once or twice, and some text on the launcher is artifacted.
The game crashed a couple times during the Nether Azazel fight.

Xbox360 gamepad was not working until set "Steam Input Per-Game" to forced off in big picture.
"PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%" is necessary for me to play.
Game runs with white screen
Launcher works.
Checking ScreenSetting option on launcher causes game to crash.
The game video only renders white screen but I can hear Lucifer speaks.
Absolutely Playable!
Sometimes crashed in the desktop menu that you enter when you launch the game. (The one with the "START" button) But if you hit START before it crashes, the game works well! Also crashed in-game once after a boss fight, but it seems to have been a fluke.
Runs flawlessly for about 99% of the game.
Towards the very end of the game, for the last two regular enemy encounters in chapter 10, the game would randomly crash when hitting or being hit by an enemy. Solution was just to clear both encounters as quickly as possible. No other crashes present.
