Game would load but immediately get stuck on a black screen with a working cursor until I ran mf-install.sh (which I tweaked to include vidreszr.dll for another game, but I don't know if that particularly DLL is important here). After that, the game loads and runs well.
I'm running the GOG version, not the Steam version, and it was not playable until I installed the Media Foundation DLLs. After that, it runs fine.

Locked FPS to 40fps via Steam Deck menu. Let the game auto-config graphics settings to Medium and so far I got around 3 hours on a full charge.
Text is small needed to squint every now and then to read, but doable.
Some crackling every now and then, but minimal.
Controller was working, but I needed to go in and manually set input to controller. These settings do cloud save if you jump in between platforms.
The only Proton version I was able to get working with this so far is GE Proton 8-4. I tried the most recent version (at the time 8-9), but the screen would goes black and Audio cuts out after a few seconds.
This game was not optimized very well when it was released, so there are some performance challenges that don't look to be solved without developer input. Overall, it's playable as long as you are fine with the tweaks to keep your steam deck from screaming at you.
Game runs on the Unreal Engine 4, and the Deck can't keep up with it. Lowering the graphics doesnt really improve much, but the visuals becomes laughable...
Also the game doesn't have full controllers support, found myself touching the screen more, than I should.
In my opinion avoid this on the Deck.
Even if the game runs at low settings option there are some significant stutters
There are some unskipable scenes
The game is fully playable, but the text can be a bit small. Expect some shader compilation, but the game runs fine at 40FPS on high setting
Text is a bit small, but not unreadable
Some very rare texture flickering (happened once in a couple of hours
Lowered the graphics : high (not ultra), 90% resolution
We cannot pass the video
Don't know if it's SD card related but slowdowns occurs when entering new maps (shaders)
No other issues found
Massive shader cache stuttering when entering new areas
