Long loading times and a long time to actually start the game but past that worked seamlessly out of the box with proton experimental.
Once I got drivers properly running the game ran smoothly and without any issues.
I had some issues running to a different display in a different room but I don't believe they were linux caused and I was able to get it working without too much issue.
Tried both natively and with proton. Seemed to work great both ways.
I only used practice mode in native. I played with friends for about two hours on proton without any issues. Both though seemed reliable and performant. Ultra settings 1440p 144hz on my hardware.
Worked Nearly Perfectly out of the box
Others have mentioned as well but achievments don't work for some reason. It also can't access internet even when connected.
Default proton kept crashing before title screen but after switching to GE worked with no issues

6.21-GE-2
Worked out of the box without any issues. Played local co op with two switch pro wired controllers and everything worked wonderfully
Played quite well out of the box, especially for the gold rating it currently has on protondb
I played the first few chapters without any tinkering but crashed twice in probably 8 or 9 hours of play. Which wouldn't be a lot but auto saving is weird so there's a lot of time you have to replay when it crashes.
I switched to Proton-6.21-GE-2 and didn't crash again through the rest of the game.
Worked great out of box. No issues so far after around 30 mins of play.
Using i3. Can't adjust size of window when floating so anything but full screen doesn't make any sense.
I'll update if I come across anything but everything seems to be working perfectly.
Worked with no trouble. Running on Proton experimental. Given other reports I figured I'd have to downgrade but it worked seamlessly.
I had trouble connecting to the leader boards and I haven't tried multiplayer.
Gamepad support in menus is spotty but I don't think that's a linux issue as I've had the same experience in windows as well
6.21-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Launched with default proton but controller didn't work till I switched to Proton-GE
Very Occasional Audio crackling and stuttering.
Fixed with ProtonGE. With official proton controller didn't respond at best and crashed the game at worst; switched between behaviors.
Works Great! Very Occasional Stuttering on max settings with 1080ti but I think I got that with windows too
Crackling Fixed after switching to pipewire instead of pulseAudio
Sometimes starts in full screen but centered outside of my screens so I only see a zoomed quarter of the game. Fixed by alt-tabbing out and in.
Probably not a proton issue but borked by EA/Origin
I've owned this game for years, but when I went to login for drm origin needed an access code which doesn't exist. Tried on my old account and made a new one for good measure. I'll probably try again after it becomes free to play in October. When I do I'll update here
Launched page saying you'll be asked to mount a USB device.
Also tried with Proton GE
No such prompt existed and the following non-first-launch was fully borked...
Worked great out of the box. Save game transferred great from windows as well with steam cloud.
Super minor render issue during a cut-scene. Probably not a linux issue though
