Runs perfectly with no tweaks needed. Multiplayer functions the same as it does on Windows.
Frames are pretty choppy on the latest version of Proton and the older advised version that valve testing has it set towards. Otherwise, it runs perfectly fine. Frames range anywhere from 15-45
The game will not run on the latest version of Proton, but this can easily be corrected by downgrading your Proton version to 3.16-9 by forcing the game to run with a specific version of Proton under Properties>General. After doing that, the game runs like native and works flawlessly. Multiplayer runs great, but I couldn't get a non-LAN server to work properly, even after opening up all of the required ports. If you have similar issues and are looking to play without being limited to LAN network members then you can use something like Hamachi using one their available Linux interfaces.
Plays well with only slight stuttering under 5.13-4
Slight stutter every 10-ish minutes. It's not really noticeable at all but it's there.
Runs perfectly out of the box, only issue I could think of is the slightly buggy launcher that can always be fixed by flicking the pause/continue button on the update. Keep in mind that this game was simply poorly optimized to begin with, I notice no difference between my performance on Windows and my performance on Linux.
