gamescope -e -W 2560 -H 1440 -- %command%
at the beginning after you enter the sewers, the audio cuts out until you adjust it from the pause menu
Text for the in game notes is on the small side.
Same missing audio issue as the other reports, fixed by adjusting the in game slider.
No input detected until the game is closed and launched a second time. Had to do this every time I came back to the game after a break.
Ran at a solid 60fps, lo-fi aesthetic is great for the smaller screen and still terrifying. Played from start to finish.
The only issue I have noticed is that one of the late game enemies had a black texture instead of it's face.
Everything works great! Except for there's no audio!
Works the same as on Windows out of the box.
There is a bug with the games audio settings. You have to adjust audio level in the options first time launching the game (just move the volume slider a notch, so that the volume settings are saved). Unless you do this, the in-game audio will be completely silent (even though the volume looks maxed). This bug affects Windows users too.
Good performance, works the same as on windows. Be aware of the volume level bug as mentioned and that there is no autosave, it can take some time to reach the first save point.
Game ran perfectly out of the box.
I thought the sound was borked but it was just set super low in the games settings. I was able to raise the sound after playing the opening scene.
With Proton 4.2.1 the game now works fullscreen, but the performance is pretty terrible. At least with my low end hardware, but this game shouldn't be very demanding anyway.
I was not able to launch through Steam. Running directly with wine resulted in very few textures loading.
Current launch options look like this: PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% -screen-fullscreen 0
The issue appears to be with unsupported OpenGL calls, so likely you only need PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1
.
I was then able to launch through Steam, and the launcher works fine. I was able to select "Low" quality.
Runs in windowed mode only. The option -screen-fullscreen 0 helps select Fullscreen mode (so you can use your native resolution). For AZERTY keyboard (and other regions) add to launch options: LC_ALL=FR_fr %command% -screen-fullscreen 0

Updating my last report. The game now runs on potatoe mode with slightly better framerate on Proton 3.16-6, but still, only on windowed mode.
Runs perfectly in windowed mode
The game runs only on windowed mode using proton 3.7.8 but the framerate is really low, and if you try to switch it to 'potatoe mode' the game runs on a really small window, making it unplayable. And Proton 3.16.4 won't even start the game
You have to run it in windowed mode, works flawlessly otherwise
Works when selecting windowed mode. Only played the very beginning about ~10 minutes. Performance was perfect, no stuttering or audio issues. Marking as Gold for windowed-only mode, fullscreen gives an unresponsive window that must be force-closed. The option to select resolution, windowed/fullscreen and display monitor is given upon launching the game, so very easy to change.
