The game launcher somehow failed to automatically detect the correct native resolution of my pc, have to go to the following location and edit the ingame resolution to match with the one of your pc.

Game launcher couldn't detect the native resolution, it somehow detect some strange resolution that does not maximize the game to full screen on borderless mode
A-set on Linux? You bet!

MANGOHUD=1 gamemoderun %command%
Worked perfectly from first boot up to 100% achievement completion. Played with a DS4 controller which also the game supports perfectly fine.

Just press "Play"
The game works greats for me. I am currently enjoying this crazy story.

Rougly 4 hours of playtime at max battery, mileage may vary. 60 FPS too, not too demanding of a game
6-7 Watt TDP
Requires using the steam menu to close the video settings window, closing it will save your changes.

Works perfectly out the box only having to use trackpad for the game launcher. The title screen is offset on steam deck screen but thats it.
45 Fps limit and set to 6w tdp
There is an unskippable launcher. But you can use the touchscreen to launch the game. If you go into the video options you need to close the new window via the steam menu. Hit the steam button and look at the bottom. There should be two windows in the game menu on the bottom. Select the video options window and hit the X button to close it. That saves your video settings and you can start the game.
Played with Proton 8.0-2
Works perfectly OOTB
Generally fine, somewhat unstable.
At baseline, the game crashes at seemingly completely arbitrary intervals maybe once every couple hours. Autosaves and fast-forward make this a non-issue in most cases, with one exception: one particular character's Somnium (PSYNCIN' IN THE MaiN) is horrifically unstable and tends to crash every minute or two, making it difficult to even get through certain cutscenes before the game crashes again. Could not find any tweaks to ameliorate this.
40hz 40fps lower tdp
Be aware that you will have to use the touchscreen to navigate the launcher. If you are having problems with cutscenes or audio, use the latest ProtonGE but it should work fine out of the box.
Works nearly perfectly.
1 or 2 crashes during the whole playthrough. I did read oa couple reviews mentioning crashes so it may simply be a problem with the game itself. Otherwise, it's not an issue as auto saves are plentiful.
Game has issues on my underpowered device, but Linux is mostly as good as Windows
Cutscenes are laggier than on Windows
Some issues occur with both Windows and Linux on my system: FPS drops, random crashes in Somnium stages
Running perfectly without any issues.
The video settings can now be closed via the close window option in the steam menu, so nothing requires desktop mode anymore. I had one crash after a seven hour session, but no more after longer sessions and multiple suspends. The game runs well. Lower resolution means you'll want to use the map more in Somnium, but overall the game can be played to 100% without any extra effort or tweaks. I do recommend enabling gamepad on the launcher.
I have played the complete game in linux. The first cinematic has stutter and one time the game crashed in PSYNCIN' IN THE MaiN. Out of that, the game runs flawlessly.
When using default proton some movies and scene cut-ins were replaced with a missing texture subtitute. This was fixed by switching to Proton-GE
Other than that it runs without problems
you hve to close the option windows via the steam button
Rarely, the game's menus would break after the game lost focus, requiring a restart.
When launching the game you'll be prompted with a launch window. The launch window itself is not the problem, but the graphics menu is. If you open the graphics menu, you can't close it or launch the game. To edit your graphics settings, boot the game in desktop mode and switch back if you wish.
Game runs and plays great and aside from a janky launcher, there's no problems. Once you have your graphics settings set up in desktop mode, you're good to play this game just fine and uninterrupted.
Completed the game in 30 hours with dualshock4 controller. No bug encountered.
The launcher can be easily controlled with touch or trackpad mouse but the graphics settings window cannot be closed (buttons are outside the screen area).
Text in the journal entries is a bit smaller than I'd say is comfortable.
Need to bind a button to Alt+F4 to close settings config window
Game works perfectly out of the box.
I have played with 1080p 60fps and with mouse/keyboard. Everything works without problems, including video/cutscenes and the achievements.
MANGOHUD_CONFIG=fps_limit=95 mangohud %command%
If the controller disconnected briefly the game would not re-detect it correctly. Using "Gamepad" in the launcher could fix this, but I didn't try.
The game has a bug where 100+ FPS will cause Somnium scenes to have graphical glitches. The bug also appears on Windows.
In either case, to fix it you'll have to cap the FPS below 100. In my case, I found MangoHUD to be the easiest option. Install it, then add the following under the launch options:
MANGOHUD_CONFIG=fps_limit=95 mangohud %command%
only crash encountered is in one of the somniums , lowered my settings down and quicksaved my way out of it
u must run it using glorious eggroll

Works fine with KB/M controls, but the controls themselves felt pretty bad so I would not recommend it.
6.12-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Game does not start/gets stuck on black screen when choosing Gamepad or DUALSHOCK4 option in the launcher. Keyboard and Mouse option works.

Due to the missing videos and random freezes I encountered, I would not recommend playing it right now. Maybe due to my old-ish hardware?
Missing Videos
Low FPS, but not very important for this game
Ranomly froze the two times I've tried it

6.12-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Minor FPS issues in some scenes, but I can't tell if these are attributable to proton. Great performance otherwise.

6.8-GE-1

Video playback would not work in-game with default Proton. No such problem on Proton 6.8-GE-1.
6.8-GE-1

Can't get both cutscenes & gameplay to work using bundled proton. With GE, only launcher is glitched. Launcher works but text doesn't.
GloriousEggroll Proton-5.21-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
launcher text is all rectangles.

Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF GloriousEggroll
Proton-5.11-GE-3-MF GloriousEggroll
Some audio crackling/loud noises at the end of some videos (media fondation bug?)
Fantastic game, outside of occasional audio glitches
Occasional desyncing of audio, but it would sync right back up after a minute or so

Proton-5.9-GE-5-ST GloriousEggroll
Without enabling vsync the mouse can jump around if your monitor is above 60hz - this is only a problem in loading screens and does not have any effect on gameplay
