Nuclear engeneering for linux
It used to play porly with proton
Game does not run when installed on an external NTFS-partition, and without further research one might think, it's just not compatible.
Ich musste das Spiel von einer separaten NTFS-Partition (wo normalerweise meine Spiele installiert sind) auf die ext4-Systempartition verschieben, dann aber lief alles gut.
I needed to move the game from a separate NTFS-partition (where I have all my games normally) to the ext4-system partition, but then it ran fine.
gamemoderun %command%
i didnt try normal proton or different versions cause GE has fewer problems in my experience, also gamemoderun isnt necissary i just use it to get best performance possibel
Just works
Noticeably faster than on Windows
Drone and Missile swarms are able to be larger without the game slowing down and is more stable when there is >100 ships/drones/missiles
Mouse and UI are somewhat laggy, performance overall is generally poor but the game doesn't run great on Windows either - drone swarms are a fun tactic but don't use them unless you enjoy the game turning into a slideshow!
Works pretty much flawlessly from the getgo
Mouse input would stop registering if I switched out of the window to secondary display
Works great out of the box.
Works perfectly out of the box
Runs perfectly with no tweaks. Looks good in 1440p too.
Absolutely nothing had to be done to get it running perfectly.
Orbital space combat does not care what OS it runs on. Works great
Perfectly fine.
Works pretty well. Some crashes, but Windows users report them in similar circumstances.
Game starts and is playable, but making any changes in the settings causes the game to freeze.
None.
Could not run from an NTFS partition, but migrating the game to ext4 worked. There is some minor sound distortion in the main menu but the performance is good.
Also fails to start with regular WINE. Tested the vcrun2013 fix suggested on the forums on both the WINE and the Proton prefix with no success. I had managed to make it work perfectly on WINE in Linux Mint around April with only vcrun2013.
