The game runs perfeclty. I'm using the Epic Games version through the Heroic Games Launcher, and Wine-GE-Proton8-26, and everything's fine.
Plays great on the deck!
The game runs smoothly by default at 60 fps. The battery lasts around 5-6h (on the LCD version), so there's no need to tweak anything. I definitely recommend giving it a go on the deck!
Runs exactly the same as on Windows out-of-the-box (EpicGames Version, not native Linux)
Changing apps causes the game to minimize even with 2 monitors when fullscreen is on. This can be fixed by enabling virtual desktop emulation in winecfg
perfect
5watt TDP
Installed through EGS heroic launcher. Cloud saves work. Slight stutter in beginning of logo screen. Besides that everything else is flawless. Works perfectly fine out of the box.
Plug and play
Runs great
Stuttering during Aquiris screen, and during loading screen, the game does not stutter in menus or during gameplay.
Native version works very good.
Steam Remote Play
Working absolutely flawless. Just install and play.
Perfect out of the box
I have a Commodore 64x PC clone, its awesome and I recently upgraded it as a Covid lockdown project. So I have decent CPU and memory but only Intel HD onboard graphics. There's no graphics card going in my rig :( TBH 2D Games have generally worked quite well with some tinkering and as Proton has evolved, more and more games are working albeit on lower graphics settings. Horizon Chase Turbo however is the first game that worked perfectly after installing it including with my Stadia (RIP) controllers and I'm loving it!
Runs perfectly out of the box, great battery life as well
Have nothing to really say as everything worked flawlessly, my dualshock 4 worked as well. Should just work regardless of Steam, Lutris, Heroic, etc.
Could not get a 4th controller working with native version of the game (detected, but not responsive to input). Forcing the game to run through Proton resolved the issue: all 4 controllers now working.
Native version of the game works great with up to 3 controllers. Forcing to run through Proton allows use of 4th controller.
Works like a charm, perfect Deck game even for short breaks
Gyro enabled on Left Trackpad Touch only, for optional wheel-like steering
Resolution: 1280x800, FPS Limit: 60, Refresh Rate: 60, TDP Limit: 3W, GPU Clock: 200MHz, Scaling: FSR Level 3 (for external display)
It is a good simple racing game for all ages.
Original Sony Dualshock 4 connected via USB. I had to disabled Steam Input for this title to get the controller to work in this game.
Worked perfectly for me
Doesnt recognize the Deck's controller. Thinks I play with keyboard. No web browser open. Runs fine when you switch to Proton.
Game runs great on the Steam Deck. Keep in mind that if you have a browser and the game open at the same time the game will not recognize the controller inputs. It will think your playing with a keyboard. I tested this with Firefox and Chrome.
Getting the game working with EGS version is kinda tricky, but once done it's working as a charm.
Doesn't install shadders and other things
Runs out of the box with Proton.
Game has native Linux support but in my experience it crashes constantly. Forcing the Windows edition with Proton appears to be much more stable and works "out of the box."
Runs great out-of-the-box with Proton.
For my generic controller I have to set "Force On" on "Properties" >" Steam Input Per Game Settings" to prevent it to be recognized as two controllers by the game
