Plays perfectly
I didn't need to mess with the controls at all---everything worked as it should using the default Proton (9.0-1), so the workaround with an extra controller probably isn't necessary anymore. All I did was set the resolution to 1280x720 in the game's launcher on the first boot.
You need to have at least two controllers (that is, the Steam Deck itself, plus one additional controller) to properly configure the controls in the game and play
Once you plug in the extra controller, you're able to set both controls to XInput controllers. Just change that and save, you can now play Battle Fantasia well. I've been playing undocked, as well as docked with an arcade stick, and no additional issues have appeared.
Runs perfectly with Proton 7.0-5 (including videos with audio)
To change the graphical settings and enable gamepads, you must use the game launcher. The game launcher will only let you save the settings if both player 1 and 2 gamepads are different (or the keyboard keys mapping are different for both players)
The issue its controller not detected,so i dont recommend to play on proton until they fix the issue
Controllers not detected, otherwise the game runs perfect
Vids won't play but game runs without any issues both windowed and fullscreen.
Opening video doesn't play due to lack of .wmv support, but this does not prevent playing the game. Attempting to watch videos in the gallery will cause the game to hang. Most everything else appears to work perfectly including controller support which must be configured from the launcher. Game speed seemed normal in fullscreen mode.
Runs at hyperspeed in fullscreen mode, but is perfect in windowed mode, including controller support.
