Audio cut out entirely or only in one headphone. Switching to a different Proton version seems to fix it (Exact version doesnt seem to matter). Wish there was cloud saving though
I experienced some audio issues with my headphones during loading but was able to switch to speakers where the audio was no longer distorted.
Worked perfectly out of the box
Works without issues
I would 100% recommend this game to racing players, because it's absolutely bananas with tuning, details, japan atmosphere and other stuff!
Works perfectly! I love this game
Can start, cant play
Gets stuck at the car animation after viewing the patch notes, then crashes.
Couldn't get it to run :(
May use more VRAM then on Windows, making performance worse on GPUs with lower memory.
Using Proton straight from Steam did not work, Proton-GE had to be used.
Works flawlessly with ProtonGE
Free Roam runs at 70-80 fps, when a race is started it decreases to 20-30 (even reaching <10 fps)
It runs smooth until you go racing then it decreases the fps and stay low for rest of the gameplay, indepent of resolution and graphical options.
Flawless with Proton Experimental
Runs stable 60FPS but I feel like it should run much better (VSync turned off, FPS uncapped)
When using Proton Experminetal, the game just hangs at the TV screen. GE works fine
Core gameplay is fine, but be mindful of thermals and power consumption.
Decrease all graphical settings except for resolution.
While in the main menu and loading screen, some text can be difficult to read. Furthermore, when you have extra gauges installed for a car, they can be difficult to read both the values and exactly what the gauge is suppose to be for. Default POV might also be hard for some people see traffic, lowering it is recommended.
For the most part, this game has no issues that I noticed from playing. However, the game can cause your Steam Deck to drain through its battery. Not to mention playing the game can cause the back of the Deck get a bit toasty. I'd suggest having a charger nearby if you wish to play for longer than an 1 1/2 - 2 hours, as well as toning down graphic settings to mitigate both power consumption and thermals.
Opens to menu, stuck on frame of either a car on proton 5.0 or static on anything else
Runs well but performance degrades the longer the game is open
after about 4 hours of being open, became laggy to the point of unplayability and had to be rebooted.
Runs really well at launch, continues to get more laggy as you play.
Some text is intentionally blurry, other smaller text details are too small to read
Game gets laggier as I continued playing it.
Livery selector does not work. It shows up but does not let me select any folder/file.
i just default to experimental most of the time, would probably work on normal proton
__NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=NVIDIA PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 gamemoderun %command%
tabbing out may crash the game
Stuttering when not using custom commandline arguments
Runs great
Can sometimes lag a bit to load locations, not a huge problem
Locked to 60fps.
Some HUD elements are quite hard to read - especially when driving (small fonts/icons).
Importing liveries does not work on Deck. It opens a window and then crashes the game.
Consider lowering the resolution (I play on 960x600). It's not noticable in-game due to the visual effects used (such as noise, lots of distortion, etc.) and gives you a nice performance boost. I set reflections to MED and the rest to LOW as I priotitize performance over graphics in this game.
Setting the right trackpad to mouse mode instead of joystick mode gives you much faster camera controls (there is no camera sensitivity slider as of now).

The game is going very well, no problem
You need Proton-GE to run this game once in it runs well
The in-world markers for events are meant to be dark blue but render as a weird rainbow otherwise everything is perfect
Proton GE must be used otherwise all videos including the one behind the main menu render as a rainbow and make the game unplayable
Make sure to use GE-Proton.
I run GE Proton by default. Game works flawlessly. 10/10
The game just works!! Add proton, and in my case 8.0-5, and it works.
PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 gamemoderun mangohud %command%
Game runs really well on deck, but the blurry visuals are annoying.
Text is very blurry, UI elements while driving are impossible to read.
The visuals are very blurry, making small text impossible to read and the driving extremely hard to do when you can't see anything ahead of you.
The Video distortion makes text hard to read at times
Cannot use On Screen Keyboard
Run fine on default settings. Cannot bring up on screen keyboard, Text can be hard to read because of the VHS effect, but that can be turned off.
Game seemed to boot and run perfectly on default settings. Had controller support and on scren promts were shown with controller mapping.
Has issues with onscreen keyboard, Cannot bring it up to input Player Name.
Seems to run fine otherwise on default settings.
It runs, but there is a lot of freezing and stuttering regardless of proton version.
Often freezing and stuttering. Framerate sometimes drops to 10 fps or lower.
Using gamemode doesn't do anything to solve the freezing. Controllers work just as intended.
No issues.
Great game would recommend
Game launches but is stuck after some time (before accessing the game menu)
Game launches fine, however impossible to play and access the start menu
Plays pretty perfectly, 70ish fps in the garage, and 50-60fps when racing with very occasional drops. High graphical settings
The game by default comes set at high graphics settings so turning them down a little bit will definately make the fps at least a smooth 60fps. That and setting the limit to 60 would help massively. Plays pretty much perfect in my oppinion
