I usually use proton experimental, but for this game I had to drop it down to the current version instead, otherwise it would complain about being out of memory.
Too many crashes, but that isn't unique for linux. Restarting after each round makes it playable.
Lowered worker threads to 5 for extra stability
I had to rename ./.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE/shader_cache/darktide_shader_cache_builder.exe so shaders aren't prebuilt for it to load, but without prebuilt shaders there's rough performance drops. Not sure if it evens out after a while.
Reducing worker threads to 5 helps, can play a round or two before it crashes. Any less and the performance hit is too large.
I was expecting to have issues like Vermintide 2 but I just used my normal GE-Proton and it is working so far. I have not tested if I can host or join lobbies yet.
Upon launching the game, it would hang on installing Microsoft Edge Web View. I had to rename/delete the installer in steamapps/common/DarkTide/launcher/MicrosoftEdgeWebview2Setup.exe
Afterwards the launcher popped up correctly. Sometimes the buttons won't be clickable after a few seconds.

The game in general performs poorly - This is an issue also affecting Windows so it is not Linux specific. Otherwise it works great.
Hopefully the game gets ironed out for full release.
Tried with GE 7-35, experimental bleeding edge, and tried winetricks dlls as well just in case. No luck.
Stalls at the launcher. No luck getting ingame.
