Proton GE: Disable protonaudioconverter.
Valve's Proton: Alternatively you could convert videos from wmv/wma to h.264/mp3 (rename .dat files in movie folder to .wmv -> use ffmpeg to convert to .mp4 -> rename to .dat and replace original files.
OP play with no sound
First use GE-Proton7-43 and then launch the game. Exit the game when see the menu. Switch to GE-Proton8-4 and then launch the game. Now OP can play but no sound. The game will crash with only GE-Proton8-4. OP skip automatically with only GE-Proton7-43.
Because of the crash, i cannot recomend it on steam deck other then that it would be a nice experience.
Change A button to enter key.
It garantee crash when it hits the opening video, it happens about 1 hour into the game, there is currently no way to get past this using proton that i know (Tried experimental and ge as well but no difference), need a Windows pc to play past the crash.
Will crash at videos but otherwise works well. Use the Steam Cloud Saves feature on a computer to get past video parts.
Game crashes back to SteamOS when it hits video points
The game runs fine about five hours into it with the large exception of the videos, which cause the game to crash. There might be tricks that can be done to counter this on the Deck itself, but for me, I loaded the game up on a computer, established a save past the first video at the end of the prologue, then used the Cloud Save to play past the video part on the Deck. The game also runs at 720p on the Deck, so it does have a letterbox effect.
