Plays fine
minor stuttering issues on a 3080 RTX
Latest Proton works fine, minor frame drop problems.
Works alright on Deck, very Playable
Text is a bit blurry, but the in-game sharpening option seems to alleviate some of it
Works fine. Low preset, only change to settings was the sharpening option. A couple of free battles with the AI worked perfectly fine, demanding summon sections and all. The menus and stuff run at 30 FPS obviously, but that's a quirk of the port, not the Deck.
Just enable Proton experimental and everything should work fine
Going into battle for first time starting up will slow down most likely from the hard drive
Runs fine, but loads slower than on Windows
I only tried a quick match offline. It loaded a bit slow, as if the game were hardware intensive. But once the match got going, it ran fine.
Game loads up initially, some message prompts, then crashes
Graphics Freeze in Battle
Menus work fine, low graphics settings used. When the battle loads, the battle actually begins but screen is frozen. Sound is played.
Played through entire story that was possible, online (unranked), and gauntlet. Without the story DLC, I would rate it a platinum.
Story issues:
- The first cutscene does not play. All other cutscenes do.
- The final mission becomes stuck at the loading screen. Seemingly for the same reason that Dead or Alive 6’s story will not work under Proton. https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/2420 ("fixme:dxva2:DXVA2CreateDirect3DDeviceManager9")
Lowest settings. I am bottle necked via processor. Honestly surprised it works at all. I'm using a playstation 2 controller. Sometimes when the game starts it's misses the intro cut scenes.
Reported here before about how the game wouldn't load properly, but now the game runs ok but you can't move your character during the fight with a xbox remote control unless you use the keyboard (A,W,S,D). There's nothing in the config settings to fix this. OMG WTF!
Played tutorial and offline vs AI which both worked great other than some minor shader cache stuttering the first couple of matches.
horrible performance (max 60fps, but can drop to 6fps, usually at 30fps) even with all settings at low/off
Played all tutorials, and both online and offline matches. Worked perfectly except for common crashes which only occurred during match loading or after match completion. This made the game largely unplayable in multiplayer. Similar results when testing on a second computer.
After the update to proton 4.2-3 the game runs perfectly, graphics, sound and controls.
Still gives a white screen
All that is visible is white, thus can't select anything. Sound effects and music works however.
Just a white screen but sound and controls seems to work
White screen, sound working, controller working
Only a white screen shows and you hear square enix and team ninja announced, and when you move the mouse around you hear the "final fantasy" cursor sound...nothing works.
Game launches but it's just a white screen. Trying tweaks results in the same (no esync) behavior, or the game doesn't launch at all (wined3d, nod3d11 and nod3d10). Versions other than 3.16-8 Beta don't launch at all. Tested with 3.16-8 Beta, 3.16-4, 3.7-8 Beta and 3.7-8.
Flashes white screen and crashes. Doesn't start.
The game launches to a white screen. Although the game is running in the background but it's impossible to see anything.
