Game is not playable at all. Game starts but either immediately quits or you are stuck at the starting screen with an error that says "Failed to retrieve the platform authentication token". There is one discussion on steam which discusses this error but unfortunately hasn't got a solution which is working for me. I tried with the standard proton (no forced use of a specific one), Proton Experimental and Proton 8.0-2.
The game freezes and must be force quit if I switch to another window
Aside from the inconsistent frame rate during turn rollout this is a fun strategy title that can be run natively on early access
Consistent drops when movement is happening. Not terribly unplayable but will annoy anyone who doesnt like consistent frames
Default, experimental, GE-7-29 and others didnt worked. Forcing 7.0-4 launched and runs flawlessly.
Post 7.X GE Proton works fine and is equivalent to Windows. 6.X doesn't launch. No major issues detected that wasn't present on Windows. Tests done during playtest weekend, as such there is likely no DRM (Denuvo, EasyAntiCheat, etc) present. This may impact gameplay in the future.
