Works flawlessly out of the box.
Beware it uses ScummVM underneath, so read other comments for key binds to handle full-screen, scaling, etc. You can also install Luxtorpeda (alternative to Proton for specific old games) and set up those things beforehand.

Works perfectly out of the box!
Works out of the box
If you want proper fullscreen, update ScummVM by replacing all files in the scummvm subfolder (properties>local files>browse) with the files contained in the latest win32 zipfile (2.7.0 as of writing this) found at https://www.scummvm.org/downloads/
Runs fine out of the box
Alt+Enter to leave fullscreen. Ctrl+Alt+Plus to enlarge window. If you want different graphics, Vga version is available in Properties>Beta. Check previous reports for other useful tweaks.
The game runs in a small window top left of the screen.
Other than the display issue the games runs without any other issues out of the box.
The game only has a small 480p window. (it might be the same on windows idk)

from steam if you "properties/local_files/browse_local_files" and edit run.bat, modify removing lsl1. Startup the game. Now you can select OpenGL graphics with vga and no fullscreen. Exit and modify run.bat, adding lsl1. Start the game and you may scale it up to 1920x1080 bij pressing crtl alt -/+

Use either Boxtron 0.5.1 to play through DOSBox: https://github.com/dreamer/boxtron or Roberta 0.1.0 to play through ScummVM: https://github.com/dreamer/roberta - both work great. It's recommended to switch to "vgaversion" branch.

- Properties -> Betas and select VGA version (much better graphics) 2) use alt+enter to leave fulscreen and ctrl+alt+plus to make window bigger, but in fullscreen you can't actually go fullscreen :/

The game runs fine. If the game area is too small use ctrl+alt+plus to scale the game up. The game runs through scummvm so you can use the hotkeys described here: https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/User_Manual/Playing_a_game_with_ScummVM

Won't start.
