Single frame flicker of Steam dash / taskbar when switching between gameplay and menus.
5 Man Career mode will crash the game if started.
-The game will not start without the Launch Option [-nointro] which is very simple to set. This is the same reason that the Original 5 Man Career mode does not work, as others have said, due to the mission briefing "cutscene" codecs (DirectX error DDERR_INVALIDPARAMS). Which is a real shame bc they're truly classic lol.
-That being said, the 10 Man Career mode will play, save and load without any issues along with any single missions (which you can play in-order from the original career mode if you want) or even custom missions. So long as you're not speedrunning that specific career mode category, you won't lose a bit of the experience imho.
-I use Proton Experimental but I've tested 8.0-5 and 9.0-3 with the same results. I'm too inexperienced with Lutris and Wine etc to find a workaround but I'll update if I get anywhere with it.

Did not experience CD Key problems. Launched the game with internet, not sure if that's the reason. I booted it up, saw the menu, immediently went for a custom mission. Loaded it fine, shot and killed all my teammates.
The only hurdle I see so far is the control scheme; It's an archaic scheme -using arrow keys for movement-, so a custom control scheme will need to be made anyway.

It prompts me that I need a CD key, the only way to get this that I have read about is running a .bat file which will then put teh game key in your WINDOWS REGISTRY! This is not possible on Linux. I am unsure how to get a CD key otherwise as it is not in the games properties menu or anywhere. Can install fine, cant start up (get to the CD key screen and then can't do anything).

UnknownOnly works with -nointro in the launch options. Carrer doesn't work due to codec problems for the movie clips. Single missions work flawlessly.
