Maybe gold rating, game works fine, no lag or slowdown on my system (KDE Neon user edition). Played through 2 skirmishes.

It works perfectly out of the box. After a while I discovered "The protectors", which is the same game but improved. Download it and unzip it. Replace the content of the "Warlords Battlecry III" directory where WB3 is installed. Rename "the protectors.exe" to "Battlecry III.exe".

Terrible performance - supposedly it's also very bad on Windows, so this might be not a Proton issue, but the game is barely playable. There is long thread on community forum about installing missing/newer patches to fix the experience, but I haven't tried it yet.

Game install and launch without any tweak. But it feels like it plays at low FPS, and every time you discover some fog of war it lag. Disable Esync, didn't change anything.
