The game runs too quickly on high refresh rate monitors. The launch option prevents this by locking the game to 60 FPS.
Currently doesn't work with the latest Proton versions. The game will launch to the title screen but crash when loading the main menu. Everything is fully playable when using Proton 6.3-8.
