Mouse could still leave the monitor although on full screen (multiple monitor)
The game will not launch properly unless you launch it and immediately tab to a different screen.
Try to launch it and immediately tab to a different window. Wait for the game to fully load before going back in. Else you will get a indefinite white screen.
White Screen
Tried out different version, managed to get it runnin on V5 Proton. Went out for 15 minutes and came back to the titel screen. Could not replicate it aftewards. Most of the other version would just end up getting stuck on a blank white screen.
Game will not run after starting the game throught the autoplay/Displays white screen. Attempted .exe renames did not resolve.

Crashes after launcher
Tested with Proton 6.3 and Proton 6.12 GE. Renaming the .exe does not work like others suggested.
The game runs fine. I did have to clear my prefix though (like the Glorious Egg roll video for it to start!)
The game would go minimized while starting it up and I had to hit the stronghold icon my tax bar for it to load.
Works great! No tinkering required.
Some individuals had to rename the game executable, however I am happy to report that this is not the case. Just install the game, enable proton (latest version), and off you go!
Rename FFLauncher.exe to FFLauncher.bak Rename StrongholdLegends.exe to FFLauncher.exe Launch game
- Browse the local file system
- Rename FFLauncher.exe to FFLauncher.bak
- Rename StrongholdLegends.exe to FFLauncher.exe
- Launch game normally and plays well
Delete FFLauncher.exe, and rename StrongholdLegends.exe to FFLauncher.exe
