Fonctionne parfaitement voire mieux que sous Windows

There was a message at first start about no/corrupted save file, but i had no problem saving progress, so believe it can be ignored.
No problems using the latest proton and default settings. Uploaded a community layout for Steam Deck controller with renamed buttons and backgrip buttons.

Problem makes it so you might have to log off and back in again if you want to play it again but once it's running, it feels native.
Upon trying to exit the game, the Ubisoft Game Launcher (UplayWebCore.exe) fails to close. Even when the stop button in Steam has been pressed, UplayWebCore.exe continues to run. The game can not be relaunched again until all of those processes have been killed.

When in game, it's pretty much a platinum/native type experience. Alt-Tabbing and Ubisoft Connect cause some minor issues
Alt-tabbing works, but after doing so, quitting to main menu gets stuck on an empty screen (just the background). Alt-Tab to steam and hit stop to quit.
When quitting the game, it's still showing as running in steam. Hit the Stop button to fix. Not the biggest of issues, just a nuissance.

Unplayable.
Bought this on the strength of the below review from ArtoriasPC, but the outdated Ubisoft launcher won't connect to any servers for me, even after an update.

Didn't need to change or do anything other than just installing and clicking play. Old issue of the launcher not updating or what have you is fixed now, and honestly should be moved from unsupported to either playable or verified.
The game is not running directly from Steam. I was able to install Ubisoft Connect and then install the game from that launcher.
issue with cloud save
The game is not running directly from Steam. I was able to install Ubisoft Connect and then install the game from that launcher. Guide:
- On Steam Deck, go to Desktop mode and in your browser navigate to Ubisoft Connect Download page
- Download Ubisoft Connect, add the exe as a non steam game. Change compatibility to Proton latest version
- Launch the Ubisoft Connect exe. Install Ubisoft connect, log in.
- Install the game/this works for other Ubisoft games in your library**Except for EasyAntiCheatgames/
- While still in Desktop mode, navigate to the Ubisoft Connect exe in Steam and in properties change the launching path to the now installed Ubisoft Connect Launcher/You can find the location in a newly created :C folder in /home/deck/.steam/root/steamapps/compatdata/33320/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Ubisoft/
- After your game has finished downloading, close Ubisoft Connect.
- Launch Ubisoft Connect from your Steam Library again while in Desktop mode/If you skip this part you might have issues in gaming mode where Gamescope can't decide between showing you the game or ubisoft connect and keeps flashing/
- Navigate back to gaming mode and launch the Ubisoft Connect exe
- This will now launch Ubisoft Connect and from there you can select your downloaded game and click play.
Before 1st play Switch to desktop and download the ubisoft game launcher. Open steam and right click Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands properties select local files then browse. open redist then GameLauncher folders and replace the ubisoft installer with the new one. then open the game
Game does not work by default. It launches an obsolete ubisoft launcher that failed to update to latest revision. I installed the launcher using the following instruction https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2022/03/ubisoft-connect-on-steam-deck-guide-with-sd-card-access/ and then just copy/paste an entire folder to drive_c where the prince of persia is installed. so just
- switch to desktop mode.
- go to the link above and follow Text Guide: step 1-5
- find an installation folder for ubisoft connect described in step 6
- copy the folder and paste (replace) it to /home/deck/.steam/root/steamapps/compatdata/33320/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Ubisoft/
- launch the game.
Ubisoft Connect fails on launch
I installed the game and launched it. An old launcher opens with an error:
A Service is Unavailable
I updated the launcher with protontricks 33320 uplay
, as others have suggested.
Uplay launches, updates itself to Ubisoft Connect, restarts, then fails with the error:
Unable to download Ubisoft Connect game files
33320 uplay
Wasn't able to launch the game by default, but got it to work on the Steam Deck following the advice here and adapting it to SteamOS.
Steps:
- Install the game through Steam and launch it. It will install a bunch of stuff, but fail to update uplay and end on a cut-off error message. Use the trackpad to click on the X to close the window.
- Boot into the desktop and install protontricks from Discover, if you don't have it yet.
- Open a terminal and type
flatpak run com.github.Matoking.protontricks 33320 uplay
- if you installed the game on an SD card, you first need to give protontricks access to your Steam Library on there either typing
flatpak override --user --filesystem=/path/to/other/Steam/Library com.github.Matoking.protontricks
(change the path accordingly) or using Flatseal
- if you installed the game on an SD card, you first need to give protontricks access to your Steam Library on there either typing
- Complete the setup, go back into the GamingUI, and launch the game again. Uplay should update now, install some more stuff, and then launch the game.
- Finally, change the Controller Layout to e.g. Gamepad with Joystick Trackpad and enjoy
I haven't played much into the game yet, but the opening cinematic and opening area played without any issues.
protontricks 33320 uplay
Stuttering every one in a while. Also, leptop is heating and fans are working really hard producing 300 FPS, which is completely unnecessary.

Need to update uplay using following command in a console : protontricks 33320 uplay
(Inspired from this comment)
Uplay launcher wasn't updating. Changed proton to a lower version, replaced the game launcher in the redist/GameLauncher folder with a new uplay launcher (I used the Farcry 4 launcher but I guess you can use the latest uplay launcher). After installing the launcher and directx, game threw a launcher error. Change the proton back to default and the uplay launcher opened and was able to play the game.
Uplay shows a transparent window
stuttering here and there
Installed updated uplay: protontricks 33320 uplay

Ubisoft Game Launcher error
I have tried all protondb versions (including experimental) but game could not start. Ubisoft Game Launcher screen comes and gives error that Ubisoft Service is unable to load. Here down below the error screenshot.
si aggiorna ma poi all'avvio prompta servizio non disponibile riprovare più tardi

The game works on Proton out of the box, but not at the first run. I had to start it multiple times until the Uplay launcher updated itself, then I had to login and I had to enter the key too. After that the game worked fine. I installed D9VK and it worked even better with this DX9 to Vulkan translation.

It runs fine after an updated version of Uplay is linked to the game's prefix folder. Performance is almost perfect with a few moments between large area when it has major stutters. The Uplay "Shift + f2" prompt will not go away, and the key combo does not work.

UPlay updates and works fine. No issues

First task is to get uplay working. On ubuntu 18.04 you need to install winbind and libgnutls 32 and 64bit library. Then you should add a symlink: ln -s /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libgnutls.so.30 $HOME/.steam/SteamApps/common/Proton\ 3.16/dist/lib/libgnutls.so.26. If this is done, you should be able to logon into uplay. Game works mostly ok, but there are some alt+tab issues with mouse and sometimes backround audio stops working. Performance is ok.

Uplay launcher seems unable to restart properly after updating. After running the game multiple times (4-6, I can't remember) Uplay was finally updated to where it would allow login attempt. Attempting to login resulted in an issue similar to one reported here: (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/727). I haven't tried the symlink workaround from the thread to see if that helps. Fix should probably be addressed in the Runtime libraries.

Crashes after UPlay tries to load (but doesn't).

Game crashes after Ubisoft launcher. No error message is shown.
