Works great except the settings issue. Might have to re-launch a few times to get your settings in. And CTRL+V twice for graphics if needed.
In addition to some settings crashing the game (just re-open and it's fine), F4 brings up Linux console. When returning, graphics are glitched. CTRL+V twice (entered Windowed mode / leave Windowed mode) fixes it.
Would be nice if Steam / Proton could disable F4 for Linux OS use and map to game. I'm sure it's possible, like the Windows key in Windows.
Works pretty well
When you enter settings menu, and click "Accept", it will crash the game. Even when you did not change any of the settings.
I tested for 15 minutes and the game seemed to work really well, other than that wierd crashing bug on the settings menu.
Everything seems to work fine out of the box including rumble support on an Xbox pad; The selected-by-default 3DFX Glide renderer is recommended, as Direct3D has minor visual glitches and frame drops (but is otherwise fine). Uncertain, but this may also be the case on Windows.
Launched with no issue. Intro video played and was stoppable with no audio issues. Menu works and settings can be adjusted. Works out of the box with default 3dfx graphics settings, and also worked when set to DirectX. Max res of 1024x768 a little low by today's standards, and joystick mapping is weird for my Logitech Extreme 3d Pro, but "just worked".
Used Xbox 360 wired controller & keyboard; did not play online missions
