without the launch option, I was not able to start any mission.
Crashes in the 'Briefing' stage, after starting the campaign. This is because it tries to call Vuplex Webview which is incompatible with Proton. Can be circumvented by clicking through the briefing very fast.

Crackling only at the beginning of a mission briefing. Audio in-game later runs fine.
Latency with selecting multiple units though this mostly likely is an issue with the demo itself since windows users report this issue as well.
Mission briefings seems unstable at first and caused crashes without added launch option and specific proton version. As soon as a mission starts it seems to run fine.
Game crashes in Campaign selection
You have to click VERY FAST through the campaign into - the game only crashes in the campaign intro screen. I had to make a Auto-Clicker to make it work, sadly no jet-pilot reflexes.

With latest proton vanilla / ge / hotfix couldnt get further then the menus, When launching with older proton version (0.8.5) it worked flawless
