The game works perfectly with the native build, no need to use Proton as some suggest.
I suspect those who are having audio issues with the native build don't have pipewire-alsa installed.

I tried to run it through Lutris, however, no Steam game starts automatically and the Steam window remains transparent with a simple error message saying: "appid not found"
All good, just pick up and play. Still have to try and play multiplayer.

gamemoderun mangohud %command%
played with friends who use windows and games with random players.
I use proton because the native version has problems related to the game audio, it doesn't work.

The audio was completely absent for the Native version.
The Proton version did not have that issue.
The Native version had no audio for me. Multiplayer was also removed by the developers due to reasons outside their power.
The Proton version has none of these issues, so I recommend playing on this version instead.
- Right-click the game > Properties > Compatibility > Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool
- I picked Proton Experimental, but it should work on stable releases as well.

Functions Well Enough, but With Some Edgecase Annoyances
Controller support works properly, initially, but disconnecting and reconnecting the controller for any reason causes the thumbsticks and triggers to become unbound thereby forcing a restart of the entire game.
Not 100% what caused it, but during one of the tutorials the game wrested nearly completely control of most inputs from me and pressing B/circle a couble times somehow took me to the tutorial selection menu but everything was graphically broken. This was kind of a fluke, so I'm not filing this as graphical degradation but rather as a stability bug because it forced me to restart the game.
Using the bug reporting feature via controller doesn't work: it just sends a blank report without even bringing up the report form. If you're going to send a bug report, open the menu option with your keyboard+mouse.
Overall the game seems to function fine but some annoying hiccups under certain circumstances might occur, so watch out for those. If you find a particularly persistent issue, try switching to Proton to see if it's reproducible on that side or not.
Doesn´t launch, tried with Proton Experimental, 7.0-4 and older versions.
Locked to 30 FPS
Sound doesn't work on the native version but the steamplay version has fps issues on my system

Native version has rather poor performance, with some graphical glitches. Forcing Proton on it makes it run flawlessly.

Although native to Linux, there are some graphical glitches, and some stutters. With Proton, the game runs flawlessly.

Game works native and on Proton together with DXVK out of the box.
