Works flawlessly if you boot with an internet connection. Won't boot if you're offline, however if you disconnect from the internet with the game running, it still runs fine.
Works great, even with Ubisoft Connect (even when updates are needed).
Juste have to "force stop" via Steam after quitting the game because of Ubisoft Connect client still active.
Worked ootb while online without any problems - Ubisoft connect worked ooob as well without any credentials being required on my site.
To play offline I had to follow these steps:
- Turn off wifi on steamdeck
- Start game and wait until you see the login screen
- turn on wifi on steamdeck
- Login in the ubisoft connect launcher (make sure that it is NOT in offline mode) and start the game
- Wait for the game to start then close the game regularly through the game itself
Afterwards the game should be launchable both online and offline. However when starting offline the launcher will ask you to switch to offline mode (select with X). After doing this the application should start after a slightly longer loading time/black screen.
Switching between online/offline works without any further configuration then (however offline always requires you to go through the launcher.
Setting the "start launcher in offline mode" does appear to reset everytime I start the game.
Had the same issues as the rest of the negative reviews here. Then updated to latest GE-Proton9-14 from 9-13 and now it works beautifully.
Cannot start the game no matter what proton version I chose.
Tried proton GE, proton 9, 8 and experimental, none worked for me

Finished the game without any issues - only thing is you have to manually quit Uplay after exiting the game as it keeps running (icon is visible in the system tray if your desktop environment has one). The game itself runs perfectly fine, nothing bad to report.
Runs perfectly smooth out of the box!
System/runtime: Ubuntu 24.04, Kernel 6.10.2, GeForce RTX 4080, NVIDIA Driver 550.107.02, Steam Proton 9.0.
Didn't do any tinkering at all - game installed and launched seamlessly. I didn't even need to manually login to Ubisoft Launcher - it happened automatically.
It also automatically recognized the PlayStation DualSense Wireless Controller and the in-game button hints were rendering the correct symbols (i.e. the circle/square/triangle/cross, etc).
I've set the game to use the max video quality and the best AA quality (MSAA). I've only watched the intro scene and played the initial tutorial for like 5 minutes, but it was a buttery smooth experience on a 4K monitor (3840x2160 @ 144Hz).
