Game ran at a 3438x1438 resolution instead of the expected 3440x1440. This left a bright, one pixel line along the edge of the screen.
Running the game with gamescope fixed the resolution bug and let the game fullscreen properly.

Despite the fact that this is a Godot game and The Case of the Golden having a native Linux version, this sequel only comes with a Windows and Mac version. This isn't really an issue, since the game runs flawlessly under Proton and runs on a potato.
Great sequel to a modern classic!

Compatibility mode had a bit worse performance wise in loading, but harly noticable overall, if you notice issues try selecting normal under Properties > General > Launch Options
