need to set language, theres no flag icon or other indicators
all sound disappears if I open overlay (decky auto-suspend may be the issue here)
the camera controls can get stuck sometimes
I didnt have any stuttering issues
The low FPS makes this unplayable
Runs at ~18-24 FPS
Default language is Japanese, can be changed in settings
Runs absolutely perfectly
Running via X11 on XFCE 4.18
- No performance issues
- No graphical glitches (outside of some grass "shimmering" slightly, but that's minor)
- I could switch between fullscreen and windowed without issue
- Audio was flawless
- I could connect a bluetooth controller mid-playthrough and it picked it up straight away.
Literally the only problems I had were known game issues, i.e. starting in Japanese and some badges not unlocking because the dog wasn't muddy.
Sub-20 FPS. If they implement graphics options it could be playable, otherwise wait for Deck 2.
Forced 640x400 resolution in Steam properties
Even with the resolution all the way down to 640x400 (which makes the game's button prompts unreadable), the frame rate couldn't even manage a stable 20 FPS.
The language is set to Japanese by default. To switch to English:
- 3rd option from the top in the main menu (first small-sized option) to open options menu
- 2nd tab from the left in the options menu to open display menu
- Bottom option in the display menu changes language
DoronkoWanko is a short, enjoyable experience on Deck!
I'm not a great judge of FPS, but there were times the game seemed to be unduly stuttering. However, it didn't impact my enjoyment of the game.
The game started in Japanese, but I was able to use the menus to change it into English. Beyond that, there were no barriers to enjoying this slice of mayhem.
Forced 45fps
Game is poorly optimized. The more dirt, the lower the performance. Was running at 12-18fps by the end.
It's a short game (30-60min), so the low framerate is tolerable, considering that. Be aware that the default menu language is Japanese, but English is an option.
Runs horribly at 1440p. It's a bit better at 1080p, but gets a lot worse when you've dirtied the house enough.
Plays Perfect, no audio
No audio whatsoever.
Runs at 18-19 FPS throughout.
Even though the framerate is incredibly low, it's rather consistent. If this is your only way to play it and you're interested, it's completely doable for a game that's less than an hour to play entirely through. I attempted swapping to Proton Experimental & Proton 9.0, but the framerate and audio issues still occur.
To change to English:
- Select "Options" (Fourth down on Main Menu; first "small bubble")
- Select "Display" (Second from the left in Options Menu; hit RB/E key once)
- Go to the last toggle and change it. English and Japanese are the only two languages, and it takes a split second for it to register the language swap.
No audio when installed and played through Steam Deck
No audio when playing on Steam Deck. Tried default settings and Proton GE to no avail
No audio, I want to hear the cute dog :(
You have to switch to English in the menu from Default Japanese.
The game on Steam Deck and Proton GE has no audio at all.
