Before when i tried using a different version of proton. it would crash all the time when leaving various areas. but now with experimental its playing so far i have not beaten it yet thow do i cant say if it will never crash on proton expiremental
use proton experminetal and the newest kernel maybe?? idk about the kernel but im on a arch based distro so i always have the newer kernels.
